Cameron is the owner and founder of PixelSpoke, a digital marketing agency that specializes in credit unions and progressive businesses. His passion for credit unions and their mission also led him to start The Remarkable Credit Union podcast, the only podcast to focus specifically on trends and challenges in the credit union space.
Through his agency’s focus on local credit unions and community development financial institutions, PixelSpoke has been honored with several accolades, including multiple Communicator Awards, W3 Awards, Summit Creative Award, CUES Golden Mirror Award, MAC Gold Award, and a CUNA Marketing Council Diamond Award.
In addition to his leadership of PixelSpoke over the last 14 years, Cameron ran the Portland Accelerator program, a local incubator for growth-oriented businesses. Energized by his involvement in the local business community, his recognition as one of “Portland’s 40 under 40 business people” and his passion for travel, Cameron spearheaded the business education curriculum for a U.S. State Department International Leadership Program. He also served as one of twenty delegates to the G20 Young Entrepreneur Summit in Nice, France, in 2011.
Cameron’s expertise and involvement in the business community has sparked the attention of University of Oregon, Oregon State University, Willamette University, and Concordia University, where he has been invited to be as a guest lecturer. His profile as an expert also led to being published by both the Credit Union Times, The Financial Brand, Western Energy, and the American Banking Association. Cameron is the recipient of two prestigious “Best Paper” awards from the U.S. Association of Small Business & Entrepreneurship (USASBE) about small business success factors.
In 2017, he was honored to be the recipient of Entrepreneurs Organization’s Global Citizen of the Year award for his extensive work with refugees seeking asylum in the United States.

Cameron was invited to speak at one of our educational luncheons with a primary audience of credit union managers and executives. Not only was Cameron engaging and informative, he inspired the room to think differently about cause marketing and embrace new concepts backed up with tangible examples and data. Some feedback I received from one of the CEO’s in attendance “I walked away with more action items than I have from any talk in recent memory.” I would have Cameron back again and again!
Jeremy Sankwich, Board Chair, King County Chapter of Credit Unions
Cameron is an extremely knowledgeable and engaging speaker who provides great insight and wit into his topics and knows how to connect instantly with his audience. His presentation at the NWCUA Maxx conference was one of the highlights of the whole event for me.
Jim McCarthy, President/CEO, Trailhead Credit Union
Credit unions exist to serve their members and their community, but most are not telling the story of their community work in a way that motivates existing members to engage more deeply. In this presentation, you’ll learn how community impact drives mission, strategy, and growth in the credit union of the 21st century.
Online transactions now outnumber in-branch transactions 3 to 1, while in-branch transactions increase in cost and decline in frequency every year. How can credit unions, with their historical focus on specific communities and local markets, stay relevant in the digital age? What will it really take to create a “digital branch” that can provide the kind of industry-leading service online that made credit unions so successful in the first place?
In this presentation, you’ll learn the core elements of a digital branch, including the 3 most common mistakes that prevent potential member from joining, techniques for growing loans from members, electronic member onboarding, and more.
